Data science education market in India to rise 58% to $1.4 bn by 2028

Studies project that by 2028, the data science education market in India will have grown by 57.5 percent to USD 1.391 billion (about Rs 11,569 crore). The sector was valued at USD 204.23 million (about Rs 1,698 crore) in 2023. Over the following five years, it is expected to rise at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 57.5 percent, according to a report by Hyderabad-based Tech Portal Analytics Insight and edtech platform Imarticus Learning.

On Friday, Microsoft revealed that some corporate email accounts, including those of the company's "senior leadership team and employees in our cybersecurity, legal, and other functions," had been compromised by the hacking group it names Midnight Blizzard, also known as APT29 or Cozy Bear. It is widely believed that this group is supported by the Russian government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 19 inaugurated Boeing's new global engineering and technology center campus near Bengaluru. Built at a cost of Rs 1,600 crore, the 43-acre state-of-the-art Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre (BIETC) campus is the planemaker's largest such investment outside the United States, the company said.
