Axis Bank is ready to collaborate with Paytm if the Reserve Bank of India approves, as Paytm's majority of transactions and 75% of gross merchandise value come from its UPI app. The collaboration is subject to regulatory approval.
Israel chipmaker Tower Semiconductor proposes to set up an $8billion plant in India.
Israel's Tower Semiconductor has proposed an $8 billion chip manufacturing plant in India, aiming to manufacture 65 and 40 nanometre chips for automotive and wearable electronics sectors. The proposal was discussed with Indian IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar in October 2023.
New Japanese signaling technology is coming up in the city.
A new adaptive traffic signaling system based on Japanese 'MODERATO' technology has been set up in Bengaluru to reduce traffic congestion in the city by automatically adapting traffic signals based on real-time data. This innovative system is poised to be deployed at 28 major junctions across the city after the initial rounds of testing conclude.
Indian Railways to use the latest Swiss tunneling technology.
The Indian Railways has collaborated with Swiss firms for tunneling works for various projects, including the Rishikesh-Karanprayag New Railway Line and the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has informed the Rajya Sabha.
