On the policy side, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), poised to come into effect in 2024, casts a long shadow over the data-hungry landscape.

ISRO successfully launches XPoSat to study black holes;
India launched a new mission on New Year's Day to investigate black holes, one of the universe's oldest mysteries. The X-ray Polarimeter Sat, or XPoSAT, was launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at 9:10 a.m.
GitHub's AI chatbot is now widely available. - Techcrunch
In July, GitHub launched a limited public test of its Copilot Chat service for corporate users. Individual users could purchase access to the coding tool akin to ChatGPT for $10 per month by September. Not only will Copilot Chat be available in premium levels going forward, but it will also be available for free to "verified teachers, students, and maintainers of certain open source projects."
From graphic design to visual workflows, Canva's new AI core is changings its business.
Since ChatGPT upset the consumer-facing space in November 2022, many firms have gone on the generative AI bandwagon, which has many journalists rolling their eyes and shaking their heads. However, Canva offers generative AI that is unique.
Data protection Act: Pace of compliance to remain slow in 2024
After the government creates regulations pertaining to it, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, which was passed by Parliament in August of this year, will start to be implemented the following year. While businesses, also known as data fiduciaries, from all industries are awaiting the rules' discussion and subsequent notification, experts indicated that even when this procedure is finished, slow compliance is anticipated.
