Nightshade, the tool that ‘poisons’ data, gives artists a fighting chance against AI

Nightshade, a project from the University of Chicago, gives artists some recourse by “poisoning” image data, rendering it useless or disruptive to AI model training. Ben Zhao, a computer science professor who led the project, compared Nightshade to “putting hot sauce in your lunch so it doesn’t get stolen from the workplace fridge.”

Western Railway (WR) is gearing up to deploy the indigenous KAVACH technology on the Virar-Vadodara-Ahmedabad-Nagda section, spanning 735km, by year-end.

Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal has resigned from the e-commerce group’s board, Bansal, who reserved the rights to stay on Flipkart’s board for as long as he preferred, cited conflict of interest with his new venture as the reason for the move. Bansal launched OppDoor, a cross-border e-commerce startup, late last year.

Shazam now lets you identify music in apps while wearing headphones

Shazam now lets you identify music while wearing headphones, the Apple-owned company announced this week. All you need to do is open the app, check for the headphone icon to confirm your headphones are connected and then start identifying music playing around you or within apps like TikTok and YouTube. The new update works with both wired and Bluetooth headphones.
