TikTok's Instagram competitor likely to be named TikTok Notes

TikTok’s upcoming Instagram competitor app for sharing photos could be named TikTok Notes, according to screenshot posted by users. TikTok also confirmed the app was in development. Over the last few days, TikTok users have been getting pop-up notifications about a new TikTok Notes app to share photos. The notification says that the company is soon launching “a new app for photo posts” called TikTok Notes and users’ existing photo posts will be shared on the app. Users can choose to not share their image posts to the new app too.

Introducing Truecaller for Web: Now Search for Unknown Numbers

Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, today announced the launch of Truecaller for Web. All users can now search for unknown numbers and access their Truecaller SMS inbox on their web browser for added convenience and security. Truecaller for Web is available only on Android for now but it works on all modern web browsers across PC and Mac. It is easy to enable, highly secure and allows users to view, send and receive both SMS and Truecaller Chat (Instant messaging or IM) without the need to juggle between devices.

eBay adds an AI-powered 'shop the look' feature to its iOS app

eBay on Tuesday launched a new generative AI-powered feature to appeal to fashion enthusiasts: a "shop the look" section within its iOS mobile app that will suggest a carousel of images and ideas, based on the customer's shopping history. The company says its recommendations will be personalised to the end user and will evolve as the customer shops more. The idea is to introduce how other fashion items may complement their current wardrobe.

YouTube launches new Shopping features to help creators market

YouTube announced on Tuesday that it’s launching new Shopping features that allow creators to curate shoppable collections, better plan their shoppable videos, quickly monetize older videos and more.The launch of the new features come as TikTok Shop is seeking to take on YouTube Shopping and other competitors in the space. TikTok is reportedly aiming to grow the size of its TikTok Shop U.S. business tenfold, to as much as $17.5 billion this year.

Google launches Code Assist, its latest challenger to GitHub's Copilot

At its Cloud Next conference, Google on Tuesday unveiled Gemini Code Assist, its enterprise-focused AI code completion and assistance tool. If this sounds familiar, that’s likely because Google previously offered a similar serviceunder the now-defunct Duet AI branding. That one became generally available in late 2023, but even then, Google already hinted that it would move the service away from its Codey model to Gemini in the near future. Code Assist is both a rebrand of the older service as well as a major update.

Indeed announces AI-powered work experience writer and support

Hiring portal Indeed has redesigned the profile page for users, allowing individuals to use an AI-powered writer to fill up work experience, and also added support for multiple resumes. The company has also launched a set of smart sourcing suites for recruiters with features like AI-powered candidate summaries and custom messages.
